I met a really sharp young man today. I was up at Davidson College practicing some moves on my motorcycle, ( I’m sure the wrong way) and they are simple moves. I do the S curves and figure eights on the empty parking spots. I practice stopping fast. The hardest thing I do is stand up on the pegs and stay mobile slowly. That trick took many years of knee(s) therapy.
Out of the corner of my eye I spy a NOVA! The Nova was all by herself. I circled her a few times. Then Security showed up and asked me if I wanted him to move it. Jonathan from Security happened to own the car! I said no, but would love to photograph the car. Jonathan is 29 years old and has been across the country four times. He served our country. He has a classic car collection I hope to get to shoot sometime .
He cranked her up and told me her name but I forgot. Her name starts with an R like all his red cars!

Today is 20250620. I was telling Jonathan that I had a little difficulty removing reflections in windows or people’s glasses. But when I got home to edit the photos there was an adobe update specifically for reflections. I made one work. The other I left as is.

Jonathan is not embarrassed by imperfections in his classics. He is re-building as he can

I shot this house on the 30th of January 2025. On February 23 2025 I was coming downhill in the right lane. This house sits in a curve. Coming at me on the house side of the curve came an old sporty looking hooptie hauling ass and was fishtailed into the turn going into a full spin. I was trying to stop my bike but I could see where the car was going and aimed at the open spot and rode through it. I got lucky and they ended up in the yard across the street. I came out without a scratch. I stopped and another car stopped that saw it but we didn’t finish our conversation because other cars started to come into the turn. I’ve got guardian angels like you wouldn’t believe. And maybe the angels of this abandoned house helped me get through this one. I’ve driven straight through an accident on the interstate pulling my fifth wheel. A car zigged in front of me and all of a sudden everything in front of me zig zagged and crashed on both side of the road. The trooper that swerved was OK. I went straight up the middle with my trailer!
