I brought my close up lens and zoomed in on a few cool bikes. The thing is, is that they were all cool. Bullies packed the lot again!

Brooke makes this possible. Just remember to tip out your favorite workers well. All of us Patrons need to make them want to come back to work. Because Whatever they are doing they are doing it right. All ages of fun loving people need a place to go. Just think you can jump on 52 and get the speed demon out of your system then jump on exit 103 or wind up and down S. Main St to some twisties on each end. Your mountain trips should start and end at Bullies because you can jump right off at exit 103 and head for the mountains or to the lake or to Charlotte! Today I wanted to shoot close up of Rodney Burcham’s Viclas! My goal is to piece an ongoing story board for Brooke’s place, Bullies! If you have ever tried to put a show or an event together of any kind you will soon find out that it is an art form. Brooke put together the Cook and the staff to run the club and work the outside. She had an awesome DJ that unloaded a trailer load of perfect equipment. Everybody looked well taken care of. She even brought me an ice cold water.
I started shooting Rodney’s Viclas about 5:30pm and by the time I looked up the parking lot was full of every kind of bike you can think of. Rodney informed me of the Pro Pin Stripe job by Rayberry.
If you have ever tried to build a Viclas before you need to take some advice from Rodney. His Viclas is Painted by award winning Pin stripe artist Rayberry. Rayberry got his nick name because he lives near Mayberry. Harley flies Rayberry all over the country to win awards for his paint jobs.
Rodney could have pointed his Viclas in any direction this past Thursday night 20240620. However, he chose to go to Bullies in Winston Salem, NC.
Bullies is pulling off in a few months what takes most businesses five years to accomplish. Bullies had an awesome DJ unload a truck full of equip so the sound was just right. I got there just in time as he just finished unloading and setting up all by himself. And that sound comes off of the hill and band shell like it is supposed to. It is the perfect sound garden for good music and good motors.
From the start you have to notice that this isn’t a stereotyped biker bar. All makes and models of bikes are welcomed. You can see in my shots the difference in types of bikes, And you don’t have a stereotypical wanna be Sons of Anarchy type biker that wants to have his own TV show. (Well Maybe). There are young ladies playing Corn Hole and all ages playing pool with a wide range of Grandpas to kids in a stroller. I have seen staff and security in marked shirts to help you get around and stay out of trouble.
As riders we need a place that isn’t full of prejudice. People don’t judge your character by the bike you ride. Well maybe they might mutter under their breathe…”look at that damn crotch rocket”. But the old farts will bounce your fist and nod their heads because they know they probably read about you in the paper going 140 down 52. There were plenty single young women from 20ish to way old (retirement oldish) but we need lovin’ too!
I almost left out the custom bling team that makes cool hats and have patches.
Remember, somehow Brooke found an award winning chef that is fun. He will talk junk to you from the back if your team isn’t winning on the many giant TV screens. I’m 6’1 and 265lbs. I couldn’t finish the cheeseburger.

Remember this story is easily shared to your friends. I send Brooke a link and she posts sometimes on her page. You don’t always have to have your bike. This summer hasn’t even started but time goes so fast for me that I ‘m planning my winter gear. Be consistent and tell your friends. Get them here anyway you can. This is a unique place where you can see your bike as you walk around and listen to tunes. Everyone walks around and eyeballs other bikes. Occasionally One of the expert bikers there burn a tire up. Place an order to go and strap it to your bike like the old timers do. I have one regret from today. There were so many different types of bikes there today. Just as I was leaving a small posse of 20 something year olds showed up on Souped up Honda mini bikes. They looked like the bikes I’ve seen coming off the tail of the dragon. I needed to get these done. I hope I get as second chance to learn something about those.
See this story about Viclas. But come back in here and check out more bikes.
