“Mrs. Carol L. King, 61 of Salisbury passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at her residence. Born on October 18, 1956 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Ramsey and Helen Butler Litaker. She was a graduate of South Rowan High School and Rowan Technical Institute where she taught drafting and sheet metal design. Earler in life she worked for Ketchie Houston and MAN Bus and Truck Co. as a design draftsman. She was a life member of Thyatira Presbyterian Church, where she was the leader of the youth program “Bible Buddies”. She was an avid card writer as well.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charlie King, son Nicholas King (Amanda) of Kernersville, daughters Abagail Covington (Drew) of China Grove and Toshja Reeves (Lindsey) of Lexington, brother Wayne Litaker (Jean Ann) of Forest City, and sister Diane L. Tilson (Joe) of Boone. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Payten, Mattie, Sydnie, Cooper, Grady and Caroline.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11 am at Thyatira Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Stacey Steck, minister. Following the committal, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care of Rowan, 301 S.
