We have talked about this from before but I am adding again Chris Clayton. She passed on in 2014. We were close in school. I looked up her obit and found a different version from The Kannapolis Independent. RIP Chis.

“Elizabeth Christine “Chris” Clayton CHINA GROVE Ms. Elizabeth Christine “Chris” Clayton of China Grove, went peacefully in her sleep Saturday, April 19, 2014 at her home. Born Oct. 17, 1957 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of Donald William “Don” Clayton Sr. and Sarah “Sally” Blalock. She was a 1976 graduate of South Rowan High School and attended Wingate University. Earlier in life she worked for Cabarrus Memorial Hospital as a respiratory technician and later as a unit secretary for CMC Northeast. She was an avid reader, loved to spend time at the beach with her family and do candlewicking. Those left to cherish her memory is her brother, Donald William “Donnie” Clayton Jr. (April) of China Grove; and cousins, Frankie Menius, Kathy and Jackie Blalock and Lisa Ashley. Also surviving her is her uncle, Jack Blalock; and three nieces and one nephew. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. To defray costs of the funeral, the family has asked that donations be made to her brother, Donnie, at 610 Brown Road, China Grove, NC. Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is serving the Clayton family.
