Class of 1975.

As Obituaries are so hard to find I was thrilled to find this one. I originally posted about Eric passing on in 2016. He was just always seemed to be glad to be there!

“KANNAPOLIS – Mr. David Eric Albright, 50, of 2600 Vale Avenue, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 1, 2007 at NorthEast Medical Center. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, with the Rev. Kim E. Trabold officiating. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Mr. Albright was born Dec. 17, 1956 in Cabarrus County the son of Harry Thomas Albright of Kannapolis and the late Margaret Louise Hyde Albright. He was a 1975 graduate of South Rowan High School and attended Pheiffer University. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 47, St. David’s Lutheran Church. He had been a jeweler, and a mechanic at Fieldcrest-Cannon. He also worked in HVAC installation and also was employed at Tri-Electric, Salisbury. At the time of his death he was a caregiver for his father. He loved to plant gardens and work outside. In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Bonita “Bonnie” Hooper Albright of Kannapolis; daughter, Emily Lauren Albright and her fiance, Charles “Kevin” Gwin Jr., of Kannapolis; grandson, Joshua Gage Gwin; son; Phillip Bruce Mann and wife, Amber Wagner Mann, of Harrisburg, Pa.; sister, Donna Albright Dernan and husband, Doug, of Huntersville; and two nephews. The family will be at the residence, 2600 Vale Avenue, Kannapolis. Memorials may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or to LifeShare of the Carolinas, 5000 D Airport Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28208.
