“Mrs. Mary Ellen Bostian Roberts, age 66 of Landis, went home to be with her heavenly father in the early hours of Tuesday, March 16, 2021. She left peacefully at her home. Born March 10, 1955, Mary was the daughter of the late Carl and Sarah Weddington Bostian. She was a member of The Brook Church in Landis.

Mary married William (Bill) Roberts on July 4, 1974 and they have been together for over 50 years. Mary earned her BA in Early Childhood Education from University of North Carolina-Charlotte where she graduated with honors. She spent her career in education, retiring from the Rowan-Salisbury School System, where she loved working with preschool and special needs children. Through the years, she also worked with children with various churches where she attended. She also served with her husband and her sons in India during 1988-1989. She loved her family and lived a life of service to others. Her life was one lived to serve the Lord in all she did.

Those left to cherish and treasure her memory are her loving husband of 47 years, Bill and her two sons, Jason (Kimberly) and granddaughter, Quinn and Neal (Beth) and granddaughters, Aubrey, Sarah, Carly and Hannah. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Carlette Phillips (Roger) and Jane Edwards (Jeff), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all loved their Aunt Mary.

YrtesmuSutedcrdlapy aonmtss r1ch0orloenl:r5h4e adAdrM  · My Sister, Mary Roberts was not only my sister but one of my Best Friends. We grew up together playing dolls, Rolly Bat, Kickball, playing in the woods, & making cookies. We had so much fun growing up! Beach Trips, holiday meals, Lake Time, and Birthday parties were a frequent happy time together with all our families. Mary was usually the one that would say we need to get everybody together! And a Party was planned! We will miss her so much, and she made the best Homemade Yeast Bread!! Thank you, God , for Mary Roberts!! I miss my phone calls 3+ a day! Morning , Afternoon and Night! We knew if we were talking and one of our kids called, it was a quick Bye, and we would grab their call! Mary has 5 granddaughters and I have 5 grandchildren! We were always talking about them!! I am just selfish! Mary was a good and faithful servant! A wonderful Christian! Kind, helpful, looking for ways to show Gods love! She will be missed so much!! I love you!
